A serial entrepreneur and seasoned industry professional with extensive management experience, Bob Francis specializes in working with entrepreneurs, investors and Boards for financings, turnarounds, mergers, acquisitions and start-ups in high technology fields.

Professional Experience

With more than 40 years of industry experience, Bob Francis spent most of his career managing operations for public corporations such as Motorola, GTE, Paradyne, Stromberg-Carlson and Infotron Systems Corporation.  From 1990 through 1993, he served as President of General DataComm International (NYSE: GDC) prior to forming his own consulting business, Milford Communications Partners L.L.C., in November, 1993.

Milford Communications Partners L.L.C. is a consultancy company specializing in advanced technology.  Its primary focus is the rapidly growing markets for wireless communications and vehicle telematics.  The company is based in Clearwater, Florida , and continues to provide consulting services to start-ups and public and private early stage companies expanding into new markets.

In 2000, Mr. Francis was a founder of Milford Investment Partners, Clearwater, Florida, to arrange investments in wireless and Internet companies.    

Mr. Francis was a founder and Managing Director of Jefferson Partners L.L.C., Washington, DC , where he directed the high technology practice and arranged financings with a focus on Satellite, Internet, Multimedia and Wireless technologies.

He was a member of the World Teleport Association from 1987 until 2000, and on their Board of Directors from 1993 through 1999.  From June, 1994, until April, 1999, he was the Secretary General of the Association where he was the global spokesperson and managed the operations of this international member-service organization of Teleport operators, suppliersand consultants.

CEO, Director and Chairman of the Board of Concentrax, Inc.,Houston, Texas, (CRXN) an operator of automatic vehicle location networks and vehicle management services for small and medium sized fleets. Concentrax also supplies emergency vehicle communications services for public safety vehicles and Homeland Security applications.

A Director of Calmar Research Corporation, Cato, NY.  Calmar Research provides fluid dynamics design services to the aircraft industry, sells and supports aircraft design software licensed from Boeing and NASA.  A subsidiary, Calmar Telematics LLC, is under contract to the US Department of Transportation and the State of New York to develop information products based on data mining of commercial vehicle telematics information.  http://www.calmarresearch.com/
